Replace boxed mac and cheese with this shelf stable homemade mix. Stir it into any noodle: protein pasta, veggie noodles, or whatever you have on hand. Ready in 5 minutes and stores for months.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 pint jar (32 tablespoons) 1x

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese powder
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup dry milk powder
  • 1/4 cup butter powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a pint jar
  2. Seal, shake, and label.
  3. Store in a cool, dark place.

To Use:

  1. Cook 8 oz pasta (macaroni for example) as usual and drain. Stir in 3 tbsp cheesy dry mix and up to 3 tbsp water or milk, one tbsp at a time. Mix until until creamy.
